About the Conference
The Asian Conference on Geography (ACG), organised under the Asian Geographical Association (AGA), is a regional forum for scholarly exchange, professional networking, and collaboration among geographers, geospatial researchers, educators, practitioners, and students. Since its inauguration in 2015, the conference has been hosted across Asia.
In 2027, the 7th Asian Conference on Geography (ACG2027) will be held in Bangkok, Thailand, coinciding with the auspicious celebration of the 72nd Birthday Anniversary of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, the 110th Anniversary of Chulalongkorn University, and the 92nd Anniversary of the Department of Geography, Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University.
Bringing together diverse geographical perspectives, the conference will examine rapid environmental, technological, social, cultural, and economic transformations across Asia and beyond.

Abstract submissions are invited under the following tracks, including, but not limited to:

Call for Abstracts
Researchers, academics, practitioners, educators, and students are invited to submit original abstracts for oral or poster presentation. Each submission should clearly state the research context, objective(s), methodology, principal findings or expected contribution, and significance to geography or geoinformatics.
Accepted abstracts will be published in the ACG2027 Book of Abstracts.
Selected high-quality papers will be invited for submission to Scopus-indexed partner journals (Q2 or above), subject to peer review and the editorial policies of the respective journals. Any article processing charges (APCs), publication fees, or other related costs shall be borne by the author(s).
Presentation and Conference Language
- The official language of the conference is English.
- Oral presentation duration and poster specifications will be announced in the Second Circular.

Registration fees are expected to include access to scientific sessions, conference materials, scheduled refreshments and meals, and selected local hospitality. Final inclusions, payment procedures, cancellation conditions, and eligibility requirements will be announced in the Second Circular.
* Discounted registration fees may be available for participants from World Bank low- and lower-middle-income economies in Asia, subject to available funding. This will be announced in the Second Circular.
Venues
- Conference venue: Opening Ceremony at Chulalongkorn University Auditorium. Conference sessions and poster presentations at a hotel in Bangkok (TBC).
- Optional post-conference Excursion programmes, capacity, fees, accessibility information, and booking procedures will be announced in the Second Circular.
